A couple posts back I talked about wearing all white for summer (read it here), but another awesome alternative to rockin' all white is the white blazer. I've been kind of obsessed with getting my hands on one for quite some time now and haven't had any luck. I'm sure you girls all know how that goes, when you find "that" item it's either the wrong style or right style, but none in your size. And so, the search continues...

The key to looking great in any blazer is the fit. Boyfriend blazers are designed to be roomier, but you can show off a more feminine side in a more tailored cut, with a tapered waist. The right white blazer is destined to get a lot of play in your wardrobe rotation, being that white blazers can be great for work or play and can be thrown on with everything - jeans, dresses, leggings, skirts and shorts.

White blazers obviously work as a neutral, so it will always mix well with other neutrals like tan and black. But to add some punch a white blazer makes a great base neutral for vivid shades and can even be matched with any print from leopard to stripes. There will be a variety of details to decide upon from single breasted or double breasted, to single button or three button. Since it's already hot out, you may want look for more breathable fabrics like linen or cotton.

The white blazer of my dreams would be a mid-weight that could transition between seasons, that's single breasted with two buttons (and let's not forget, that's within my budget)...*sigh*

Anyhow ladies, remember that a white blazer can easily take you straight through spring to fall and with so many styling options, what more could you ask for in a great investment piece!
